Huntington Woods scheduled curbside leaf collection to begin Monday, Oct. 19, according to a city notice.
The Department of Public Works plans one pass through each section of the city per week through the first week of December. Residents may spot leaf trucks before and after those dates, but regular weekly pickup is scheduled during that window.
Heavy rain or snow may interrupt collection, the city noted.
Keep cars clear of leaf piles
Vehicles parked on or near leaf piles can prevent collection. Crews cannot return later that day after a vehicle is moved, so residents should leave piles accessible.
Leaves only at the curb
Curbside piles must contain leaves only. Keep pumpkins, hay bales, vines, potted plants and sticks out of the piles.
The city says those materials can instead go in yard-waste bags for Tuesday collection by Tringali.
Branch chipping on hold
Branch chipping is suspended during leaf collection and is scheduled to resume after Dec. 4.
Residents can check the city’s leaf collection notice for information and updates.
