The Greater Royal Oak Chamber of Commerce holds its October Coffee Connection breakfast at Bamboo Royal Oak on Friday, Oct. 9. The coworking space is at 220 S. Main St.

The event runs from 8 to 9 a.m., according to the chamber's event listing. Bamboo will provide coffee and breakfast items. Informal networking fills the first half-hour. At 8:30 a.m., each attendee gets 30 seconds to deliver an elevator pitch: who they are, what they're looking for and how they can help another business.

Chamber members and prospective members are welcome.

Coffee Connection is a monthly series the chamber hosts at different Royal Oak businesses. The August edition was held at Ray's Ice Cream on Coolidge Highway.

Bamboo, founded in Detroit in 2013, opened the Royal Oak location as its first suburban expansion. The space sits at the corner of Main and 3rd streets, one block from the Center Street Garage. Street parking is free before 11 a.m.
